I have plenty of projects regarding the Check-lists. The first one is to try to follow as closely as possible the evolution of Falcon to keep them current. Then other aircraft volume creation is considered according to the release of the new cockpits.

Here are the next things I will work on:

  • Navigation charts for all Major airports in Korea
  • Weapons checklists will be updated to SP4/BMS or FF3 to take into account the new weapons.
  • Standardization of the format and I hope to finally get the hang on the version history - I need to simplify the system.
  • There are more and more aircraft available for SP with pretty decent flight model and cockpits. The A-10 main and weapon volumes and the F-15 volume are already available. I'm willing to continue working on other aircraft such as the F-18, , Mig-29, Tornado,......
Or any other aircraft Aeyes makes a superpit for.
  • Same is true for the terrain. You will soon see Panama, Vietnam, Iceland, and maybe others navigation volumes. Always with the TCN table, Airbase list and Map of the theatre.

Many people deserve credit for the checklists. I hope to have given my thanks to everyone - if you feel you have been forgotten, let me know.

  • Tom "T-Rex" Perkins for his valuable feedback, Martin "Terrapin" Gerner, Stephen 'HotDogOne" French for the OG: APG68 and amraams and his valuable feedback, Wayne Timmins for the OG lantirn. Skyfire for the Cate program and Snakeman for his valuable CATE maps who made the kneemaps possible, Aeyes for his help on the A-10 and F-15 project, Meangreeny for his suggestion of a rampstart only checklist. Jaillie for his help on the navigation charts.
  • Special Thanks also to Dimitri Verdoodt who created the drawings used in the checklists. Some of his drawings are available for sale. Don't hesitate to contact him
  • Thanks also to the dedicated test team for the ODS kneemap. Without you, I'd still be doing the airbase latitudes and longitudes and tacan data.
Bo "Fireball" Boschung for his great help on Iraq and Iran. Greg "DryLouvre" Salt for Syria. Paul "Alicatt" Alistair for Egypt. Graham Harper for israel. Kraig Mitchell for Lebanon and Cyprus. Jack "Swampy" Crook for Iran. Jonathan "Falcon1" Drucker for Jordan
  • Finally thanks to all of you who sent feedback and comments and of course to the members of the F4 groups that answered my never ending questions about their work ;)

There has been some confusion in the version numbers of the checklists. Here is a small word that I hope will clear the matter:

At initial release, the checklists were referenced as
REV 117 for the main volume,
REV 118 for the weapon volume,
REV 119 for the avionic volume.
A, B, C and D are internal version and the released version keep this information. So for SP3, the current version are:
REV 117D for the main volume
REV 118C for the weapon volume
REV 119D for the avionic volume.
These version have never been updated since the SP3 release.

From now on, all versions will be referenced according to the SP serie they go with. SP3 for SP3 and SP4 for SP4.
The letter will be kept and added according to updates of any kind. That's why the A-10 volume is already version SP4 (done with SP4beta) hence the absence of A. At the SP4 release, I'll update the A-10 volume with canopy operations and Aeyes updates (if available) that will be released as SP4A.

As a conclusion, I'm now leaning towards a common system SPxA, B, C, D, ... where SPx is always based on the beta and SPxA is always the first public version followed by updates B, C, D, ....

Thanks to Meangreeny for coming up with this remark.
